Privacy
What Grow Your Apps collects, why, who helps us run it, and how to get your data removed.
- We collect your email, and that’s the main thing
- Page views are counted without cookies
- We know if you opened the welcome email and joined Telegram
- We never sell or rent your data
What we collect
When you join. Your email address, the button you used to join (for example “hero” or a blog post) and the page you were on. If you join a waitlist, we note which product you asked about.
About the welcome email. Whether it was delivered, opened or clicked, or if it bounced. This tells us if emails are reaching people. Your email app may block open tracking, and that’s fine.
About Telegram. Each subscriber gets a personal, one-use invite link. If you join the group with it, we store your Telegram user id, your username if you have one, and when you joined or left.
When you browse. The page you visited, the site you came from, a utm_source tag if the link had one, and your device type (phone, tablet or desktop). We use a random id that lives only in your browser tab and disappears when you close it. No cookies, no fingerprinting, and we don’t save your IP address with page views. If your browser sends Do Not Track, we don’t count the visit.
In your browser only. Your theme choice, checklist ticks and onboarding progress are saved in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device.
Why we collect it
- To send the newsletter you asked for
- To invite you to the Telegram group and check the invite worked
- To see which pages and posts are useful, so we write more of those
- To see which future products people want, so we build the right one first
Who helps us run it
We use a few services to run GYA. They only process data to provide their service to us.
| Service | What it does | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and backend | Everything listed above, plus short-lived request logs |
| Resend | Sends email | Your email address and email activity |
| Telegram | Hosts the group | What you share on Telegram |
| Our hosting provider | Serves the website | Standard request logs |
| Google Fonts | Loads the site’s fonts | Your IP address, when fonts load |
How long we keep it
Subscriber data is kept while you’re subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email marked as unsubscribed so we never email you by mistake. Ask us to delete it completely and we will. Page views are kept in aggregate for analytics.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of any email. It works in one click.
- Leave the Telegram group any time. That doesn’t affect your email subscription.
- See, correct or delete your data by emailing us. We’ll reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Contact
